Evaluation of Health Promotion Programmes

The Alcohol & Public Health Research Unit has just received funding approval from North Health to provide formative evaluation for a Pacific Islands Sexual Health Programme.

In 1994 North Health funded an evaluation of a programme promoting the use of child restraint equipment in cars by Pacific Islands parents.

In 1993 the Alcohol & Public Health Research Unit was commissioned by the Public Health Commission to undertake an evaluation of five pamphlets produced by the Cot Death Association.

In 1989-2 the Alcohol & Public Health Research Unit carried out formative, process and outcome evaluation research as part of the Heartbeat New Zealand promotion of healthier foods in schools and workplaces.
